Colorado Medicaid now requires unique NPI numbers for each service location where providers deliver services. Providers must enroll each location separately and update their enrollment records through the Provider Web Portal to ensure claims are eligible for reimbursement.
Action Required
Immediately: Obtain unique NPI numbers for each service location from NPPES website. Use Provider Web Portal's Provider Maintenance section to add new NPIs to existing enrollment records. Ensure each location is separately enrolled per Rule 8.125.6.A - only claims from appropriately enrolled locations are eligible for reimbursement. Verify provider address matches NPPES records for all enrollments.
