Summary
New Jersey Medicaid is changing reimbursement for adult disposable diapers/briefs by increasing the rate for HCPCS X7520 from $0.54 to $0.70 per unit and eliminating HCPCS X6000 entirely. Monthly rental fees for airway pressure devices E0452 and E0601 will include all necessary supplies.
Action Required
By August 16, 1999: Medical suppliers must update billing to use only HCPCS X7520 at $0.70 per unit for adult disposable diapers/briefs. Stop billing HCPCS X6000 completely as it will no longer be reimbursed. For airway pressure devices E0452 and E0601, bill monthly rental fees that include all supplies for device use and maintenance.
