All new providers except single-practitioner group practices must now use the online portal instead of paper applications, with paper applications being completely discontinued by July 2026.
Action Required
By July 2026: All new provider enrollment must use the NY State Medicaid Provider Services Portal online system. Single-practitioner group practices can continue using paper applications until July 2026. Create a NY.gov Business Account to access the portal. Update correspondence and email addresses in provider files to receive important updates. For obstetric billing starting June 1, 2026: Use E/M CPT codes with TH modifier, pregnancy-related O or Z ICD-10 codes for prenatal visits, and include Category II CPT code 0500F for initial prenatal visits.
