Health Net will begin contacting selected providers in February to retrieve medical records for the annual Encounter Data Validation study conducted by DHCS. Providers must submit specific medical records from 2021 encounters when selected, including progress notes, patient demographics, and tracking sheets.
Action Required
When contacted by Datafied: Medical records team must immediately retrieve and submit requested medical records from Jan 1-Dec 31, 2021 including progress notes showing date of service, patient registration/demographic pages, records for additional DOS closest to requested date (excluding lab, DME, or inpatient), and completed tracking sheet. If unable to submit records, select non-submission reason. Contact Health Net Provider Services within 60 days if questions arise.
