Summary
FQHCs and RHCs can now bill Medi-Cal PPS rates for psychological associate services when supervised by a licensed clinical psychologist, and no longer need to submit Change in Scope of Service Requests when adding Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists as billable practitioners.
Action Required
Immediately: FQHC and RHC billing teams must update claim submission processes to include supervising psychologist's NPI on UB-04 claims for psychological associate services. Remove CSOSR requirements from LMFT onboarding procedures for services starting January 1, 2025. Submit any held psychological associate or LMFT claims within the 60-day timeliness waiver period.
