Summary
Beginning April 1, 2026, Synapse Health will manage durable medical equipment (DME) ordering and fulfillment for UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans in multiple states. DME prescribers must use Synapse Health's e-prescribing portal, and DME providers must join the Synapse Health network to continue serving these members.

By April 1, 2026: Providers prescribing DME must transition to using the Synapse Health e-prescribing portal instead of current DME ordering processes. Contact Synapse Health for training and setup. DME suppliers must join the Synapse Health network by emailing JoinOurNetwork@synapsehealth.com. Failure to transition will disrupt DME services for affected Medicare Advantage members.
