Summary
NYC employees and retirees transitioned from EmblemHealth GHI CBP/Anthem BlueCross BlueShield to the new NYCE PPO plan effective January 1, 2026. All billing must now use Payer ID 26992, and preauthorization requests must be directed to NYCE PPO instead of Anthem.
Action Required
Immediately: Update billing system to use Payer ID 26992 for all NYCE PPO members (former EmblemHealth GHI CBP/Anthem BCBS NYC employees and retirees). Stop submitting preauthorization requests to Anthem and redirect all new preauthorizations to NYCE PPO. Set up One Healthcare ID account if needed (support: 1-855-819-5909).
