Summary

Action Required
By November 1, 2014: Billing team must update systems to use HCPCS code A0430 for all fixed wing air ambulance services. Stop manual processing and submit claims via HFS 2209, MEDI system, or 837P. Contact First Transit Inc. at 1-866-503-9040 for non-emergency prior approvals at least 7 business days before service. Verify patient eligibility and enrollment status regularly through electronic systems.
