Summary
HFS has temporarily suspended processing of mental health claims that would reject with error codes G82 and G85 due to authorization data issues. Claims submitted after 10/24/2011 with these errors will be held and reprocessed once the authorization issue is resolved, with completion estimated by mid-November.
Action Required
Immediately: Mental health billing teams should review and correct claims rejected prior to 10/24/2011 with error codes other than G82, G85, and H03, then resubmit to HFS. Verify taxonomy codes are valid and complete, ensure all National Provider Identification Numbers are on file with HFS Provider Participation Unit. For billing support, call 877-782-5565, select Option 0, and request community mental health support representative.
