Summary
Effective April 1, 2025, Psychiatric Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) will be allowed providers for Kan Be Healthy (KBH) preventative medicine evaluation and management visits. APRNs will receive full reimbursement rates with no reduction for these comprehensive preventive care visits.
Action Required
Before April 1, 2025: Billing team must verify that Psychiatric APRNs are set up as allowed providers for CPT codes 99381-99384 and 99391-99395 in billing system for Kan Be Healthy (KBH) claims. Update provider credentialing records and fee schedules to reflect full reimbursement rates for APRNs. Check KMAP website for current rates and monitor KanCare MCO implementation status.
