Summary
Kansas Medicaid is updating Electronic Visit Verification requirements for In Lieu of Services (ILOS) effective January 1, 2025. Code T1001 will be removed and T1000-TD will be added to the ILOS list requiring EVV.
Action Required
By January 1, 2025: Billing team must update system to remove code T1001 from ILOS billing options and add T1000-TD to the Electronic Visit Verification required codes list. Update encounter forms and billing software to reflect the new ILOS code list. Verify with KanCare MCOs for their specific implementation dates as timing may vary by plan.
