Summary
The OneCare Kansas (OCK) program under Kansas Medicaid will end on December 31, 2024, with no coverage for OCK services starting January 1, 2025. Members will transition to alternative care coordination models including CCBHCs, Targeted Case Management, or MCO Care Coordination, but all other physical and behavioral health services under KanCare will continue unchanged.
Action Required
By December 31, 2024: Billing team must identify all patients currently receiving OneCare Kansas services and coordinate with KanCare MCOs (Aetna Better Health, Sunflower Health Plan, or United HealthCare) to transition them to alternative care coordination models (CCBHC, TCM, or MCO Care Coordination). Update patient records to reflect new care coordination arrangements. Stop billing for OCK-specific services after December 31, 2024.
