Summary
Nevada Medicaid is sunsetting Provider Type 82 (Behavioral Health Rehabilitative Treatment) effective July 1, 2026. Existing PT 82 providers must enroll under a new provider type (recommended PT 14 for Behavioral Health Outpatient Treatment) to avoid claim denials, and cannot backdate their new provider type during transition.
Action Required
Before July 1, 2026: PT 82 providers must submit new enrollment application for appropriate provider type (PT 14 recommended) to Nevada Medicaid, include letter of intent with application, and use existing NPI. Contact BehavioralHealth@nvha.nv.gov with questions. Failure to transition will result in claim denials after effective date.
