Summary

Nevada Medicaid updated the assessment type names in their Provider Web Portal for behavioral health prior authorization requests. Providers must now select the correct updated assessment type names (CALOCUS instead of CASII, etc.) or risk technical denials of their PA requests.

Action Required

Action needed
Immediately: All behavioral health providers submitting prior authorization requests through Nevada Medicaid's Provider Web Portal must use the updated assessment type names: select 'Child and Adolescent Level of Care Utilization System (CALOCUS)' instead of 'CASII', 'Level of Care Utilization System' for LOCUS assessments, and 'Early Childhood Service Intensity Instrument' for ECSII assessments. Update staff training and workflow documentation to reflect these name changes. Selecting incorrect assessment options will result in technical denials of PA requests.
