Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Mexico has established a new BlueCard Executive escalation process for high-value, aged claims. Providers who are members of the Provider Multidistrict Litigation Settlement Class can now escalate specific BlueCard claims that meet dollar and aging thresholds directly to a senior executive for resolution.

Immediately: Billing team should identify any open BlueCard claims meeting escalation criteria ($1M+ aged 45+ days, $500K+ aged 60+ days, or $300K+ aged 90+ days). For eligible claims, email the BlueCard Executive with claim number, member ID, date of service, patient name, and pertinent details. Verify practice is a member of the Provider Multidistrict Litigation Settlement Class to access this process.
