Summary
IHCP (Indiana Medicaid) is removing prior authorization requirements for audiology procedure codes 92607 and 92608 effective January 10, 2026. Prior authorization will still be required for the actual communication devices, but not for the evaluation and prescription services.
Action Required
By January 10, 2026: Billing team must update prior authorization requirements in billing system to remove PA requirements for CPT codes 92607 and 92608 for Indiana Medicaid patients only. Note that prior authorization is still required for the actual augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices themselves.
