Summary
South Carolina Medicaid is increasing the personal needs allowance for members in skilled nursing facilities and ICF/IIDs from $30 to $60 monthly effective October 1, 2025. Facilities must complete Form MSC002 to update cost of care calculations for existing residents.
Action Required
Before October 1, 2025: Skilled nursing facilities must complete Form MSC002-PNA indicating current level of care and submit to BlueCross BlueShield. ICF/IID facilities must submit the same form to regional claims and collections staff at Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
