Action Required
By December 15, 2026: Billing team must audit all active patients and claims using any of the 46 discontinued H codes (H0003-H0047, H1011, H2001-H2033 except H0006) for Ambetter from WellCare of Kentucky. Update billing software to flag or reject claims with these codes submitted to this plan effective 01/01/2027. Contact Provider Relations Representative immediately to clarify alternative billing codes or coverage pathways for behavioral health services currently billed under these codes. Ensure H0006 is configured as covered and available for billing on or after 01/01/2027. Notify clinical staff and providers that behavioral health service delivery may be affected; determine if services will be offered under alternative codes, denied, or require patient out-of-pocket payment. Failure to implement changes will result in claim denials and revenue loss starting January 1, 2027.
