Summary
The Palmetto Coordinated System of Care (PCSC) waiver for youth mental health services will be discontinued effective July 31, 2025. Medicaid members will transition to receiving behavioral health services through their managed care organizations or fee-for-service Medicaid, with case management services continuing through different providers.
Action Required
By July 31, 2025: Billing team must stop using the SCDHHS Phoenix System for PCSC waiver service referrals. For Medicaid members not enrolled in MCOs requiring case management assessments, use the Medicaid Targeted Case Management provider directory for referrals. Update referral processes to direct members to appropriate MCOs or fee-for-service providers for behavioral health services.
