Summary
Cigna Healthcare LocalPlus plans now include Away From Home Care coverage, allowing patients to receive in-network benefits from Open Access Plus (OAP) providers when traveling to areas without LocalPlus network providers. Claims for Away From Home Care will be processed at in-network rates using contracted OAP rates, and no referrals are required.

Immediately: Billing team must verify patient eligibility by checking for 'Open Access Plus' and 'Away from Home Care' logos on the back of LocalPlus ID cards before processing claims.
