Action Required
Immediately: Update billing system to deny COVID-19 vaccine, testing, and treatment codes (see Table 1) for IHCP members in Emergency Services Only and Family Planning programs for dates of service October 1, 2024 and after. Implement cost-sharing for COVID-19 treatments for all IHCP members. Train staff to verify member benefit category before billing these services to avoid claim denials.
