Summary
IHCP has changed respite service names for PathWays, H&W, TBI, FSW and CIH waivers. Unskilled respite is now called 'Respite Care Services, HHA' and skilled respite services for LPNs and RNs were also renamed for consistency across waiver programs.
Action Required
Immediately: Update billing system service descriptions for respite services under PathWays, H&W, TBI, FSW and CIH waivers. Change 'unskilled respite' to 'Respite Care Services, HHA' and update LPN/RN skilled respite service names to match new terminology. Billing team must ensure waiver providers (provider type 32) use correct service names with existing HCPCS codes and modifier combinations.
