Summary
IHCP identified a claim processing error that incorrectly denied E2103 (continuous glucose monitor) claims with EOB code 1016 for dates of service on or after September 7, 2023. The system has been corrected and claims will be automatically mass adjusted or reprocessed starting October 30, 2024.
Action Required
By December 23, 2024: Review remittance advices starting October 30, 2024 for E2103 claims with ICNs beginning with 52 or 80 to confirm automatic reprocessing. If preferred, billing team may resubmit FFS E2103 claims denied with EOB 1016 within 180 days (by March 23, 2025) and include copy of bulletin BT2024148 to satisfy timely filing requirements.
