Summary
Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) will now cover psychological and neuropsychological testing codes 96136 and 96137 when performed by licensed independent practice school psychologists enrolled as provider type 11, specialty 617. The policy also clarifies that DOE-licensed school psychologists can supervise services for Medicaid students' educational programs without requiring HSPP supervision.

Before September 22, 2024: Billing team must update system to allow billing of codes 96136 and 96137 for licensed independent practice school psychologists (provider type 11, specialty 617) for Indiana Medicaid patients.
