Summary
Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) is adding 11 new CPT/HCPCS codes as valid encounter codes for FQHC and RHC providers, effective July 22, 2024, but applying retroactively to claims with dates of service from January 1, 2024. Previously denied claims for these codes can be resubmitted within 180 days of the bulletin publication date.
Action Required
By December 17, 2024: FQHC and RHC billing teams must update billing systems to accept the 16 newly approved encounter codes for claims with dates of service from January 1, 2024 forward. Resubmit any previously denied claims for these codes with dates of service on or after January 1, 2024, attaching a copy of this bulletin if filing beyond the original 180-day limit. Claims must be resubmitted within 180 days of the June 20, 2024 publication date.
