Indiana Medicaid (IHCP) has updated coverage and billing for the April 2024 quarterly HCPCS codes, adding new procedure codes with mostly noncovered status and correcting previous billing information for specific DME codes. This bulletin replaces previous guidance and includes corrections for L1320, L5783, L5841 DME codes and Q0224 definition.

By July 19, 2024: Billing team must update IHCP Medicaid billing system to reflect new HCPCS codes (most marked as noncovered). Update DME billing rules to allow L1320, L5783, L5841 only for Durable Medical Equipment providers (specialty 250), not Home Medical Equipment providers (specialty 251). For retroactive claims, submit within 90 days for managed care or 180 days for fee-for-service with copy of bulletin first page.
