Summary
Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) will now reimburse EMS transportation providers for ZIMHI naloxone injection using HCPCS code J2311, effective June 7, 2024. No prior authorization is required, but claims must include the NDC code and use modifier 96372 U2 for administration.
Action Required
By June 7, 2024: EMS transportation providers (specialty 260 - Ambulance) must update billing systems to include HCPCS code J2311 for ZIMHI naloxone injection with required NDC codes. Use procedure code 96372 with modifier U2 for administration. For FFS members, submit claims directly to Gainwell, not to FFS transportation broker.
