Summary
Indiana Medicaid will begin denying claims for personal care services that don't comply with Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) requirements starting April 1, 2024. Home health services will continue in post-and-pay status until summer 2024 enforcement.
Action Required
By April 1, 2024: Providers billing personal care services to Indiana Medicaid must ensure all claims have corresponding verified EVV data in the Sandata Aggregator system before submission. Monitor weekly remittance advice for claims appearing as 'Claims in Process' with EOB codes 0958 or 0959, which indicate 7-day suspension for EVV compliance.
