Summary
Indiana Medicaid (IHCP) identified claim processing errors for continuous glucose monitor (CGM) codes A4238, A4239, E2102, and E2103 that may have inappropriately denied or paid claims without NDC codes between Jan 1-Sept 15, 2023. IHCP will automatically mass adjust or reprocess affected claims starting November 22, 2023.
Action Required
Starting November 22, 2023: Billing team should monitor remittance advices for adjusted or reprocessed CGM claims with ICN/Claim IDs beginning with 52 (mass replacements) or 80 (reprocessed denied claims). Review any adjustments and verify proper posting to patient accounts. No action needed for future claims as the system has been corrected.
