Summary
Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) is adding 9 new procedure codes as valid FQHC and RHC encounter codes (effective retroactively to Jan 1, 2023) and removing 16 previously valid codes. Claims for the new codes can be submitted starting Oct 21, 2023, and previously denied claims can be resubmitted.
Action Required
By October 21, 2023: FQHC and RHC billing teams must update billing systems to include the 9 newly valid encounter codes (15853, 15854, 92066, C7509, C7510, C7511, C7512, C7550, C7554, D7509, D9953) for dates of service on or after January 1, 2023. Remove the 16 deleted codes from valid encounter code lists. Resubmit previously denied claims for the new codes with dates of service after Jan 1, 2023, including a copy of this bulletin if filing beyond the original 180-day limit.
