Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) issued the 2023 July quarterly HCPCS code update, effective July 1, 2023. The bulletin includes 31 new procedure codes (all marked as noncovered), removal of procedure code J9321, and updates to various code tables. Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must update billing system to remove procedure code J9321 from available billing codes. Add the 28 new procedure codes (0387U-0401U, 0791T-0803T) to system as noncovered services to prevent accidental billing. Monitor IHCP Fee Schedules page at in.gov/medicaid/providers for upcoming pricing updates. Update code table documents when posted.
