Summary
Indiana Medicaid (IHCP) has expanded eligibility for telehealth originating site facility fee code Q3014 to include six behavioral health provider specialties that were previously incorrectly excluded. Affected providers can now bill for this facility fee when their location serves as the originating site for telehealth services, with retroactive coverage back to July 21, 2022.
Action Required
By July 24, 2023 (90 days from publication for managed care) or October 22, 2023 (180 days for FFS): Behavioral health providers with specialties 616-621 should identify and resubmit previously denied Q3014 claims for telehealth originating site fees from July 21, 2022 forward. Include first page of bulletin BT202332 with resubmitted claims to satisfy timely filing requirements. Update billing system to allow Q3014 billing for these provider types going forward.
