Summary
Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP/Medicaid) now covers three new COVID-19 treatment codes (M0220, M0221, Q0220) for tixagevimab and cilgavimab injections for pre-exposure prophylaxis in immunocompromised patients age 12+ or those who cannot receive COVID vaccines. No prior authorization required, and providers have extended filing limits.

By February 23, 2022 (90 days from publication): Billing team must update systems to include new COVID-19 treatment codes M0220, M0221, and Q0220 with proper reimbursement rates. For outpatient settings, bill with revenue code 636. Note that Q0220 pays $0 as drugs are provided free. Include copy of bulletin page 1 when filing claims beyond standard limits. Verify patient meets age restriction (12+ years) and clinical criteria for immunocompromised status or vaccine contraindication.
