Summary
FQHC and RHC providers can now choose between two billing options for COVID-19 vaccine administration claims with dates of service April 1, 2021 or later: submit directly to Indiana Medicaid (IHCP) or continue using the Zotec billing platform. Previously, Zotec was only allowed through March 31, 2021.
Action Required
By April 1, 2021: FQHC and RHC billing teams must decide whether to submit COVID-19 vaccine administration claims directly to IHCP or through Zotec platform. If using Zotec, allow additional 3-4 weeks for reimbursement and do not resubmit claims to IHCP. All claims for HIP, Hoosier Healthwise, or Hoosier Care Connect members must be submitted as fee-for-service claims to IHCP regardless of billing platform choice.
