By October 24, 2020: Billing team must update all telemedicine claims to use the appropriate in-person place of service code plus modifier GT instead of POS code 02 with modifier 95. This applies to all professional claims (CMS-1500, portal claims, and 837P transactions) for covered telemedicine services except HCBS waiver services. Update billing software rules and train staff on new modifier requirements.
