TNC providers can now enroll as specialty 267 under provider type 26 and bill for transportation services using specific procedure codes, but must contract with NEMT brokers for reimbursement.
Action Required
No immediate action required for medical billing teams unless your practice provides transportation services. If applicable: TNC providers must enroll with Indiana Medicaid as provider type 26, specialty 267, contract with appropriate NEMT brokers (Southeastrans for FFS, MCE brokers for managed care), and use procedure codes A0425 with U3/U5 modifiers and T2003 for billing transportation services.
