Summary
Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) now covers telephone and virtual check-in services for Medicare crossover claims retroactive to March 6, 2020. This applies only to patients dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid and includes 8 specific procedure codes for telephone visits and remote evaluations.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must update system to allow billing of telephone visit codes 98966-98968, 99441-99443, G2010, and G2012 for Medicare-Medicaid dual eligible patients in Indiana. These codes are reimbursable on professional crossover claims (all codes) and outpatient crossover claims (excludes G2010 and G2012). Resubmit previously denied crossover claims with these codes as no timely filing limits apply.
