Summary
Indiana Medicaid (IHCP) added two new COVID-19 specimen collection HCPCS codes G2023 and G2024, both covered with no prior authorization required and reimbursed at 90% of billed charges. The modifier CS description was also revised for COVID-19 testing cost-sharing.

Immediately: Billing team must add new HCPCS codes G2023 and G2024 to billing system for COVID-19 specimen collection services. Configure codes as covered with no prior authorization and no NDC requirements. Set reimbursement to 90% of billed charges for both professional and institutional claims. Update modifier CS description in system for COVID-19 testing cost-sharing. Both codes are exempt from copayments.
