Summary
Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) is adding a new provider specialty code 268 for nursing home transportation providers, effective April 2, 2020. This allows nursing homes to enroll as transportation providers (type 26) and bill for non-emergency medical transportation services for Medicaid members.
Action Required
No action required for most healthcare practices. This policy only affects nursing homes that want to provide transportation services and enroll as IHCP transportation providers.
