Summary
IHCP (Indiana Health Coverage Programs) is temporarily allowing 90-day supplies of maintenance medications and early refills for non-controlled substances in response to COVID-19. Two new diagnosis codes (B97.29 and Z20.828) have been added to the Emergency Department Autopay List for coronavirus-related visits.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team should update system to recognize new emergency diagnosis codes B97.29 and Z20.828 for Indiana Medicaid ED claims. Pharmacy staff should be aware that IHCP now allows 90-day supplies of maintenance medications and early refills for non-controlled substances upon member request.
