Summary
Effective July 1, 2025, BCBS North Dakota is replacing Stelara with three preferred biosimilar products (Selarsdi, Steqeyma, and Yesintek) on all formularies. Stelara will become non-preferred and patients will need to transition to the biosimilars through specific specialty pharmacies.
Action Required
By June 30, 2025: Clinical staff must identify all patients currently prescribed Stelara and coordinate with providers to transition prescriptions to preferred biosimilars (Selarsdi, Steqeyma, or Yesintek). Verify patient's specialty pharmacy network (Exclusive vs Limited Preferred) and direct prescriptions accordingly - Selarsdi only available at PTP, while Steqeyma and Yesintek available at both Accredo and PTP. Update medication lists and inform patients of formulary changes to prevent coverage disruptions.
