Summary
BCBS Wyoming is transitioning all inpatient prior authorizations and concurrent reviews to the Availity portal effective April 1st, 2021. Training sessions are being offered in March to help providers with this mandatory system change.
Action Required
By April 1st, 2021: All staff handling inpatient prior authorizations must transition to using the Availity portal for BCBS Wyoming members. Register for training sessions on March 16th or 18th at 2:00 pm by contacting provider.relations@www.bcbswy.com. Update workflow procedures to use Availity instead of previous authorization methods. Failure to use the new system may result in authorization delays or denials.
