Summary
BCBS Wyoming has stopped mailing paper remittances and now requires providers to register for electronic remittances through Availity. Additionally, they are transitioning to a new utilization management system which may cause longer wait times for prior authorization approvals, but have provided a new authorization request form and fax number to help streamline the process.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must register and login to Availity to receive electronic remittances by going to My Providers > Enrollments Center > ERA Enrollment > Claims & Payment > EDI Reporting Preferences > Claim Payment/Advice tab. For prior authorizations, use the new authorization request form available at BCBSWY.com/docs/providers/precertification.pdf and fax requests to 307-432-2917. Failure to register for electronic remittances will result in no receipt of payment information as paper remittances are discontinued.
